Buildings to form the particulars and estimate of such alterations
and Repairs agreeably to such plans And this Deponent
further Saith that in his opinion the said Repairs and
alterations were capable of being done and Executed by any
experienced workmen and he is of opinion if the workmen
had followed the directions contained in such particular no
accident would have happened [..]
And he is also of opinion that the falling of the Building
did not arise from the internal wall not being Bonded to
the Hall Wall

Opinion of Mr. Snuggs
& Mr. Morgan, as to
Cause of AccidentThe principal cause of the failure of the Building was the
party wall and the Hall Wall not having been Bonded
together, but that such defect might have been known
if the Plastering had been cut away at the Angle and the
Wall properly examined.

, as to Do.My opinion is that the cause of the Buildings falling, is from
not putting up Story Posts & Bresummers on ground floor, and
not Shoring the floors properly to support the floors with
the Bricks and Rubbish that was continually laid on and
taking down the part between the projecting parts without
putting any Shores under the floors where the parts was
taken down.
