Conson of Mr. Snugg's
Lret.Resumed the consideration of the Letter of Mr. Snuggs addressed
to the Court and referred to the Committee.

Labourer In Trust
& Contractor examd.
respecting the Accidt.
at Prison.Mr. Garton the labourer in trust and Mr. Snuggs the Contractor
attended and being called in stated their respective opinions in the
presence of each other respecting the cause of failure in the Buildings
the Committee then viewed the premises and having carefully examin'd
and heard the different parties are of opinion that the cause of
failure was the party Wall and the Hall Wall not having been
Bonded together, that such defect might have been known had the
Wall been previously examined which appears not to have been
done; the Committee do not take upon themselves to determine whether
such Examination ought to have been made by the Surveyor or the
Contractor,

The Committee recommd.
to the Cot. to offer the
Contractor a Sum of
Money, he leaving all
the Materials on the
Premes.Agreed to recommend to the Court that under all the
unhappy circumstances of the case it would be adviseable to offer
the Contractor the sum of £400- he leaving upon the premises
all the materials.
