maketh oath That she hath been hedibly informed and
verify believes the same to be true That her Said late
husband was born in Pescod Street in the Parish of new
windsor in the County of Berks and that he also duly
served his apprenticeship there with his late Father John
Cross
< no role > also deced who was by Trade a Cordwainer ; and
by means thereof as she this Depont. is advised her said
husband gained a legal settlement there; and this deponent
Saith that to her knowledge or belief her said late husband
never Rented a house of the yearly Rent or value of
Ten Pounds; nor ever served any Parish offices, or paid any
Poors Rates, or kings Taxes; nor ever did any Act to gain a
Settlement subsequent to his apprenticeship; Nor hath She
this Deponent to her knowledge or belief; done any Act
since her said husbands not Death to gain a Settlement For herself
