Parish of St. Mary Hewington in the County of Surry and
was Charged to and paid Parish Taxes for the same and by
Means there of as this Depont. is advised he gained a legal Settlem [..]
there and this Depont. was at such time Part of her Father
Family & was then Married to her said late husband & that
her said late Father to her knowledge or belief ever did an [..]
Act to gain a subsequent settlement And this Depont. Farther
Saith that her said late husband (who was a Seafaring Ma [..]
hath informed her that he was born in the City of Exeter in
the County of Devon but in what Parish there he never
told her And this Depont. farthr. Saith that to her knowledge
or belief her said husband never lived as a hired Servant for
a year nor Rented a house of Ten Pounds a year or upward
nor ever served any Parish offices or paid any Poors Rate
or Kings Taxes nor ever did any Act to gain a settlement
subsequent to his Birth and that she has not done any a [..]
to gain a Settlement in her own right since her sd. husband
Death that she was lawfully Married to her said husband
at the Parish Church belongg. to the said Parish of St. Mary
Hewington and that she hath a Child named Susanna< no role > aged
about two years & five Months the lawful Issue of this Dep [..]
by her said late husband
