William Lemp< no role > Maketh Oath That he well knew Henry
Sherlock
< no role > late of the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the
County of Middlesex Staymaker deced who about Thirteen
years ago rented a house in Monmouth Street in the Parish
of St. Giles in the Fields in the said County and as this
Deponent has been informed by the said Henry Sherlock< no role > and
believes he the said Henry Sherlock< no role > paid for the same the
yearly Rent of Twenty Four Pounds and lived in the Sam
fordword years and by means there of as this Deponent is
advised he the Said Henry Sherlock< no role > gained a legal Settlement
in the Said Parish of St. Giles in the Fields And this Depont.
Saith that to his knowledge information or belief the Said Henry
Sherlock
< no role > did not afterwards rent a house of the yearly Rent
or Value of Ten Pounds nor Serve any Parish Office or pay
any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes nor do any Act to gain a
Subsequent Settlement And this Depont. farther Saith that
the Said Henry Sherlock< no role > left behind him at his death two
Children who are Still living to wit Frederick< no role > aged about
Seven years and Elizabeth< no role > aged about eight years the lawful
None of the Said Henry Sherlock by Mary< no role > late his wife and
now the wife of this Deponent which said Children have
done no Act to gain a Settlement in their own right
