not been placed a Month, at least, on liking with an
Artsmaster.

That every Boy before be is placed on liking
should be viewed by the Surgeon or Apothecary
who shall Certify his state of Health, and be
examined by the Chaplain who shall report the
nature of his education and attainments.

That every Boy before he is Apprenticed, shall
produce a Certificate of his Settlement.

That every Boy shall produce a Certificate of
Character from the place or School where he was
educated.

That after a Boy is approved, his Friends, or
some reputable Person on their part, should attend
the Committee before he is bound.

That every Apprentice be In rolled within Six
Months after he is bound.

Having formed such Rules as relate to
the Admission of Apprentices, your Committee
proceeded to digest a System for their Well ordering
and good government, and having inspected the
former Orders relating to Apprentices, We are of
opinion that the following Regulations should be
adopted.

That no Apprentice should appear at any time
in any other Clothes, than those appointed by the
Hospital.

That the Clothes appointed for the Apprentices
should be a Blue Cloth Coat, Waistcoat, and
Breeches, Grey Worsted Stockings, Black Hat, and
such other Apparel, as the House Committee
shall direct.
