That the Committee having taken into consideration the
Petition of John Ash< no role >
one of the Tenants
at Wapping
And the Surveyor having viewed the premises and
being of opinion that he had not fulfilled the Terms
of his Contract the Committee. Resolved that the said
Petition could not be complied with.
And thereupon Mr. Ash having proposed further
to give up the agreement for his Lease upon the
Governors permitting him to receive the Rents from
the Under Tenants to Midsummer last and forgiving
him his arrears of Rent due to the Hospital the
Committee considering his inability to comply with the
Terms of his Agreement had thought it adviseable for
the obtaining the possession of the premises to agree
to his proposal
And had ordered that the Clerk do furnish the
President and Treasurer
with a Copy of the minute of the
House Committee of the 2d. Janry 1793. respecting the
expiration of the Lease of the Burying ground
& request
their attention thereto.
