Continued Thursday 10th. July 1794

The minutes of the Bethlem Committee of the 6th. & 27th. of May
the 3d. June last were read and Confirmed whereby it appeared

That a Letter addressed to the Committee was read from
Mr. Richard Woodhouse< no role > apologizing for his Non attendance
and that the Committee had resolved that the same
should be entered upon the minutes.

That the Committee had taken into consideration a
recommendation from the Sub Committee to increase the
present insurance upon the Hospital and had Resolve
that £10, 000, should be insured in future.

That the Surveyor having laid before the Committee
particulars of several repairs necessary to be done in the
present year the expence of which he estimated at £890.
the same were read and approved and Advertisements were
ordered to be inserted in the Public Papers to receive
proposals for Contracting for the said works on Tuesday the
27th. May

That the Surveyor having likewise laid before the
Committee a Plan for improving the South entrance to the
Hospital the expence of which he estimated at £250.

The Committee had Resolved that the same should be
carried into execution and included in the above advertisements

That the Surveyor had also laid before the Committee
a Plan for converting some Cells into two rooms for the
use of the Convalescent Patients.

The Committee had resolved that it should be referred
to Mr. Treasurer Mr. Auditor General and Dr. Monro to
Examine the plan and to report their opinion thereon
to the next Committee.
