Continued Thursday 28th. February 1793

allowed and signed by those Governors only who are named on the said
Committee

That on the Vacancy of any Officer or Servant belonging to both Hospitals the
Members of the House Committee of Bridewell and of the Bethlem Committee be
immediately summoned at the Hospital of Bridewell for the like purpose of
deliberating upon and preparing a Report for the General Court of the necessity of
such Officer or Servant and what has or ought to be its Duty and Salary.

That the Bethlem Committee be empowered to consider of and direct necessary
repairs and alterations to the said Hospital not exceeding £200 in the whole and to
see that such others be properly done to the said Hospital as the Court may have
Ordered and

That these Resolutions be added to and make a part of the standing Rules and
Orders of these Hospitals.

The Minutes of the Bethlem Committee were confirmed and upon Motion it was resolved
that the propriety of empowering the Committee of Bethlem to lay cut the sum of £1070
in the present year in the repairs of the Hospital and of adopting the alterations
they recommend in the 5th and 13 standing Rules and Orders should be considered
at the two next Courts.

The Right Honorable the Lord Mayor acquainted the Court of the death of the
Right Worshipful Brass Crosby< no role > Esqr . Alderman President of these Hospitals and
his Lordships appointed a Court to be held on Friday the 15th day of March next
for the Election of a President and also for the Election of a Matron of Bethlem

Upon Motion It was Ordered that the Vacancy of a Matron of Bethlem and of
the day of Election should be advertized in the public Papers and that all Candidates
should apply for information and lease their addresses at the Clerks Office.
