Hospital in the Room of John Seakins< no role > deceased being read in Alphabetical
Manner Vizt. Joseph Fitch< no role > , Jeremiah Heather< no role > , James How< no role > , Robert
Martin
< no role > , William Norton< no role > , & John Trotman< no role > , The Governors gave their Ballets
which being Cast up the Numbers Appeared to be as follows Vizt.

Whereupon The Right Worshipfull The President declared the said
Joseph Fitch< no role > to be duly Elected Junior Beadle of Bridewell Hospital
untill the next Election day & that he shall from Michael next have
receive and enjoy the Salary and Profits thereto belonging and also the
Appartment wherein the said John Seakins< no role > lived,

Militia-Mr. Actons Report
on Accots. of the Lieu tenancy of
Wapping


Mr. Acton the Steward Acquainted this Court that on the 31st. of Augt. last he attended The
Deputy Lien tenants of The Tower Hamlettson a Summons which had been sent
to John Stock< no role > one of the Tenents of this Hospital at Wapping to shaw Cause why a
Fine Should not be levyed upon him for not providing two men with Armon
behalf of his Send lord the 28th. of June last at the March of the MilitiaAnd
Acquainted them that Mr Stock was Tenth of one of the Houses belonging to
Bridewell Hospital which the Governors are advised are not lyable to
furnish men or Arms to the MilitiaAnd that he had Attended them
in Novr. 1747 on the like Occasion and that Governors had not since head any
more of itThat thereupon the Chairman told him the Crown Lands
given to Charity were not execept from this Duty & that there is a Warrant
in the hands of the High Constable to levy a Fine Set upon Mr. Stock in Novr 1747
and that they shoud meet again the 12th. of Septr. & if nothing more shod. be
then offered they Wou'd set a Fine According to the Present Summons & see
That, & the former both levyedUpon which the Court desired Mr
Carew & Mr Umfreville to give their Opinion whether the Horses or
Lands belonging to Bridewell Hospital are lyable to Furnish Men or Arons to
the MilitiaAnd that the Steward do attend The Deputy Lieutenants
on the 12th Instant & Acquaintt them with the Opinions of Mr. Carew & Mr
Umfreville on the Case
