Continued Wed. 18th. May 1748

To Supervise all the Servants and if any of them shall be remiss in their Duty to
Acquaint the Weekly Comittee to take Care that the Orders for the good Government of
the Hospital be Strictly Observed and if he fords any disorder or Mismanagement he
is to Acquaint the Comittee

To see performed all Casual Orders of the Court Comittee or Trear relateing
to the Matters aforesaid

And this Comittee find, That the Steward never claimed any Feeson the
Admission a discharge of a Patient but that to prevent bags being brought in Bedding
to the Hospital he has provided Bedding for the Patients on their AdmissionAnd
that the Salary which has been paid to the Stewards for many Years past is £60 P Ann
which this Comittee are of Opinion should be Continued

And this Comittee are of Opinion that the Bedding for the Patients should be
Provided by the Steward According to the Samples now laid before this Comittee
and at the prices herein after Mentioned instead of the prices formerly taken vizt.

And this Comittee are of opinion that the Friends or Securitys of the Patients
shod. be at Liberty to provide them, with such Apparel as shall be necessary from him
to time during their Continuance in the Hospital but if they shall neglect 38 to 40
after Notice in Writing sent by the Steward to the two Securitys then the Steward shall
Supplys the same by order of the Weekly Comittee of the said Hospital According to
the samples laid before this Comittee and at the prices herein after mentioned instead
of the prices formerly taken

All which is Nevertheless Submitted to the Judgement of the CourtAnd it is Ordered
that this Opinion be Reported to the Next CourtThis Court having duly weigted &
Considered the said Report doth confirm the same

Ordered that the Steward of Bethlem Hospital do take no more for Bedding to
Cloathing for the Patients than the Prices Settled by the Comittees Report of the 7th. of May
Instant and Confirmed at this CourtAnd that an Account of the said prices be
printed and in set up in the said Hospital where the Comittee shall direct and that
a Copy be given to the Securitys for the Patients on their Admission
