Upon Reading the Humble petitioner of Ann Palmer< no role > Widow Relat & Extrix of Wm.
Palmer< no role > late of the Parish of St. Andrew Holborn Mason deced & Benjamin Palmer< no role >
her Son Setting forthThat the petr. Ann's sd. late husband Agreed to taken Lease
from there Govrs. of a house & Ground in Holborn in (N0: 5) then in his possion & the White
house & thereof of the ground between his House & hand Court (No.1) part of
the Possions of the Hospital of Bridewell for 61 years from Xmas 1728 at £ 30 P ann
Rent payable quarterly clear of Taxes & to pay a Fine of £140 & within 7 Years to
Layout £800 in building two Substantial Bruk Houses (According to the 2d. rate of
building in Landon) instead of the sd. two houses then StandingThat sd. Willm.
Palmer< no role > dyed before the sd. Lease was made to him and the Petr. Ann as his Extrix
became intitled to the sd. premess & paid the sd. Fine of £140 And at a Court holden
the 7th. of Febry 1738 the Governors were pleased to order that a Lease of the pmes
of the Pmes shod. be made to her for the residue of the sd. For in then to comeThat
£ 500 was laid out by the sd. Wm. Palmer in his Life time in building a House
instead of the White House And the Petr. Ann haveing Assigned her Interset to her
Son the Petr. Benjn. & Palmer he has since laid out £ 800 in Building a house
instead of the other Old house And no Lease has been yet made to the Petr. Ann
And praying that a Lease of the sd. Pmes may be made to the Petr. Benjamin
Palmer< no role > for the residue of the sd. Term of 61 years now to comeIt is Ordered
that a Lease for the residue of the Term be made to the said Benjamin
Palmer< no role > accordingly.

At this Court Thomas Cooks< no role > was ordered to be made a free of this City having
Served his Apprenticeship in this Hospital to Mr. John Smith< no role > late one of
the Artsmasters by Indre bearing date the 11th. of June 1731 .

A Motion being made that in regard of the extraordinary Diligence of Mr. Richard
Pice< no role > the Porter of this Hospital a Gratuity be given for his good Services for the time
past Since the Court gave him a Gratuity & the Since of Twenty two pounds being now
proposed & the Question thereupon putIt is Ordered Unanimously that the
Clerk do pay to the said Richard pice< no role > Twenty two pounds as a Gratuity for his said
Services.
