Beadles Gratuity to
Michas 1710}


Alsoe upon reading the Humble Petition of the 4 Beadles and
Porters man of the Hospital of Bridewell for their usual Gratuityes
of 40s a peice in respect of the halfe year ending at Michas last for yt
their Salarys are but Small It is Ordered by this Court that Mr Trear
Cass be desired to give and pay unto them forty Shillings a peace to be
allowed him in his next Account.

Baskettmens gratuity


Also upon the Humble Petition of the three Beadles or Baskett
men of the Hospital of Bethlem for their usual Gratuityes of
twenty Shillings a peice in respect of the half year ending at Michas
last Itt is ordered that Mr Trear Cass be desired to give and pay unto
them twenty Shillings a peice as usuall to be allowed him in his next
Account.

Alehouses in ye. Precinct
refered to Comee}


This Court being informed that several of the Alehouses in the
Precinct entertaine the Apprentices of this Hospital at unseasonable
times and are the occasion of disorders among the Convict Prisoners
in this House by sending them in great quantityes of Strong Liquor
Itt is Ordered That it be referred to the Comee of this House to enquire
into the behaviour of the Alehouse keepers wth in this Precinct and to
report their opinion to this Court whether any and wch. of them ought to be
Suppressed.

Also upon reading the Humble Petition of Daniel Nipp< no role > Weaver one
of the Artsmars . of this Hospital Setting forth that he has been an Artsmar
14 years and has brought up Several Boys in his said Trade who by order
of this Court have been made Freeman of this Citty and has now eight
Apprentices and a Wife and Seven Children and has not necessary
Lodgings roome for them but is Constrained to Lodge two out of his
Appartmt. And that John Browne< no role > Weaver one of the Artsmars of this
Hospital by misfortunes has been lately oblidged to quitt this house
whose Appartmt. is larger and will be more Comodious for the Petr. and
praying that he may have the same Itt is ordered yt the said Petn.
be referred to Consideration of the Comee of this House who are
desired to report to this Court what they think proper to be done therein
