From Christmas 1708 for thirty four yeares at thirty pounds P
Ann Rent and fifty pounds fine with a Covenant to new build the
Front houses in four yeares (from the date of the said Order) according
to the second rate of building by Act of Parliamt. for the City of
London and building wth. an even range from the Blew coate
Alehouse to her then new building which would be setting back
about three foot and the Backhouses in Workman like maner
with Brick wch. usual Covenants as are in her former Lease and
a New Covent. to be added That in case the Hospital should be
inclined to build the prmisses into another forme then the said
New Lease so to be granted as above to be surrendred and she
the said Isabella Finch< no role > her Execrs. Admrs. or Assignes to have an
allowance as by Arbitrators to be mutually chosen should be
awarded as is appointed in the Leases lately lett by the Governors
of the said Hospital of Bethlem to othertotheir Tennts. there And Whereas [..] a
draught of such Lease was accordingly long since prepared and
after the said Mrs Finch puseing thereof and agreeing thereto
was Ingrossed in order to have been sealed but she haveing no
the meane time only pulled downe and new made the Front of
the Bakers house but not built the same according to the second
rate of Building nor set it back as she ought by her agreemt to
have done and she alleadging she did not rightly apprehend the
Agreement she had made or that she was thereby oblidged to
rebuild and sett back the premisses within the time and in the
manner before set forth therefore the said Lease hath not been
pfected and delivered to her Whereupon the said Mrs. Finch hath
several times attended the Comee of this House and desired that
she might have liberty to rebuild the said premisses at any time
before the Expiracon of the said Terme of four and thirty yeares
which the Comee did not think reasonable and she this day
attended this Comee and desired that she might have liberty to
new build the said Prmisses in the manner be foremenconed at
any time wth in four yeares now next ensueing and this Comee
proposed to her that she should Assigne over for the benefitt of the
said Hospital of Bethlem the Pollicyes of Insurance from fire
made upon the Messuages or Tenemts. now Standing and being
upon the said premisses and that she should from time to time
after the said premisses shall be new built as aforesaid cause the
same to be insured from fire in some publick office and the Pollicyes
of Insurance for that purpose to be made to or Assigned over
