Esquires or any three of them to peruse and inspect the
Certificates of the allowances made to the Petr. by any Justices
or Justices of the peace of this County for his trouble & expences
in the passing and releiving of Vagrants, And to See if the
Sums therein mentioned are just & reasonable, or Such as
ought to be allowed, And to examine and State what Sum of
money is, in their opinion, due to the Petr. for his trouble
& expences in passing and releiving of Vagrants, And to make
their Report in writing touching the premisses to the Court
of General Quarter or General Session of the peace, for this
County.

By Adjornmt. on Thursday the 28th. day of February 1739 .

Constable of South Mimms
in the year 1738 for the
passing & releiving of
Vagrants, And to report Etc}

Upon the humble Petition of Samuel Richardson< no role > a late
Constable of the parish of South Mimms in this County
exhibited unto this Court Setting forth That the Petr. being
appointed Constable of the Said parish in the year 1738 did by
Several Orders under the hands & Seals of Several of his
Majesty's Justices of the peace for this County convey Several
Vagrants in & through the Said County from the 18th. day of
April 1738 untill the 19th. day of April 1739, And that the Petr.
hath the Said orders by him ready to be produced, And that for the
Said Service the Petr. humbly apprehends at the rate of Six
pence a Mile and Six pence for Maintenance of each person
he is justly intituled to the Sum of eight pounds fourteen
Shillings and ten pence, And that the Petr. circumstances being
very Streight humbly prays that this Court will order the payment there where upon It is Order by his [..] that it be
And It is hereby recomended and referred unto the Committee
of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the peace of the Said County appointed
to take the accounts of the Treasurers of the Same County (to
wit) Thomas Lane< no role > Esquire Sr. Thomas Reynell< no role > Bart . Sr . John
