Samuel Tyssen< no role > & Joseph Goddard< no role > Esquires and other his
Majesty's Justices of the peace for this County who may be
willing to be present on this occasion (whom this Court
doth add unto & appoint to be of the Said Committee) or any
three of the said Justices of the peace to meet at Hicks hall
in St. John Street in this County on Thursday the twenty
eighth day of August next at nine of the clock in the
forenoon and at Such other times as they may find
necessary and Shall in Such behalf appoint to consider
of the Said difficultys, And to propose and draw a Clause
or Clauses in Order to be presented at the next Session of
parliament to be incerted in Some publick Act, whereby
the Said difficultys may be obviated, and the Justices of the
peace of Middx may be empowered to build or repaire
the House of or Houses of Correction within the Said County,
from time to time as occasion may require, And to make
or take any Contract or Contracts for the doing thereof, and
also for the repaireing or new building the publick Bridges
within the Said County which usually have been or ought
to be repaired or new built at the charge of the Inhabitants
of the Same County, And also to empower the Justices of the
peace of Middx to purchase out of the County Rate money
a peice of ground for new building thereupon the West end
of Brentford Bridge (which bridge is to be new built) and
also a causeway or pavement from thence leading into
the high road, By which means the new Bridge may be
built in a more comodious manner than the old Bridge
and in a Streight & direct line over the River Brent, And the
Said Committee are desired to make their Report touching the
premisses to the Court of the next General Session of the peace
for this County on the County day of the Same Session, if the
Same can be conveniently prepared and ready by that
time, or else to the Court of the next General Quarter
Session of the peace for the Said County, And this Court
doth Order that the Cryer of this Court or his Agent do
give due notice to the Said Committee of their respective
Meetings at Hicks hall aforesaid for the purpose above
mentioned.
