By Adjornmt. on Thursday the 17th. day of April 1740

Order for appointing Mr.
Michael Howard< no role > high
Constable within the Hundred
of fore in Stead of Mr.
Francis Newman< no role > }

Where as Francis Newman< no role > high Constable within the
Hundred of Gore in this County hath exhibited his humble
Petition unto this Court setting forth That he hath Served the
Office of high constable within the said Hundred for upwards
of three yeares, And the petr. prayed that this Court would
discharge him from the said Office, This Court being satisfyed
of the truth of the premisses Doth appoint Michael Howard< no role >
of Hendon within the said Hundred in this County Gent to be
high Constable within the said Hundred of Gore in the Stead
& place of the said Francis Newman< no role > , And Doth order that
the said Michael Howard< no role > of forthwith (after notice of this
Order) attend Joseph Taylor< no role > & Thomas Moore< no role > Esquires two
of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace for this County residing
within the said Hundred or one of them or Some other Justice
of the peace for the Said County residing in or near the same
Hundred and forth with take his Oath before the Said two
Justices or one of them or other Justice as aforesaid for his
due execution of the Office of high Constable within the
said Hundred of Gore , And from and after the time of his
having taken such Oath the said Francis Newman< no role > is to
Stand absolutely discharged of and from his said office
of high Constable.

Gear Greenwood high
Constable of the Hundred
of Istleworth in stead of
Mr. Edwd. Reeves< no role > }

Where as Edward Reeves< no role > high Constable of the Hundred of the Istleworth
in this County hath exhibited his humble petition unto this Court
Settingforth That he hath Served the Office of high Constable of the
Said Hundred of Isleworth for upwards of three years, and hath
Settled and paid all the publick moneys to Mr. John Higgs< no role > the
Treasurer of the said County, And the Petr. Prayed that this Court
would discharge him from his Office of high Constables, This
Court being satisfyed of the truth of the Premisses Doth appoint
George Greenwood< no role > of the Parish of Istleworth within the said
Hundred in this County Gent to be high Constable of the said
Hundred of Istleworth in the place and Stead of the said Edward Reeves< no role > ,
And doth Order that the said George Greenwood< no role > do forthwith (after
notice of this Order) attend James Clitherow< no role > Rupert Clerke< no role > John
Venner & Richard Bulstrode< no role > Esqr . four of his Majestys Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the said County residing in or near the
Said Hundred or one of them, and forthwith take his Oath before
the said Justices or one of them for his due execution of the office of
high Constable of the Hundred of Istleworth aforesaid And from &
after the time of his having taken Such Oath the Said Edward
Reeves is to Stand absolutely discharged from being high Constable of
the said Hundred.
