The Examination of Mary Haslip< no role > Singlewoman Lodging in the
Parish of St. Clemt. Danes in the County of Middx Taken the
23d. Day of June 1739 Who upon her Oath saith her Father
Wm. Haslip< no role > Deced abt. Seven Years ago Rented a House in Exeter
Street in the Parish of St. Paul Covent Garden in the
Liberty of Westmr . of the Yearly Rent of £20 & upwards
& lived in the same for the space of 5 Years & upwards
And this Examint. further saith yt. her sd. Father after he removed from
the aforementioned House never Rented any other House
neither did this Examint. either before or Since the Death of
her sd. Father Rent any House Lands or Tenemts. of the
Yearly Rent of £10 live with any Person as a Yearly
hired Servt. or as an Apprentice or otherwise gained a
Settlemt. in any other Place to her Knowledge or beleife
that she is now Pregnant with an Illegimate Child or Childn. & by means
thereof is uncapable of Providing for herselfe
