The Examination of Jno. Mars< no role > Aged about Sixty
Nine Years Lodging in the Parish of St. Clement
Danes in the County of Middx Taken the 16th. Day
of June 1739 Who upon his Oath saith that in March
1683 he was bound an Apprentice to Rapent Starth< no role >
Citizen & Cordwainer of Londn . & was some short
time after he was so bound an Apprentice as aforesd.
Assigned over to his this Examinant's Father who
upwards of 6 Months the latter Part of this
Examints. Apprentiship Rented a House in Chanders
Street in the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields
in the Liberty of Westminster And this Examint.
Further upon his Oath saith that he never Rented
£10 a Year Paid Parish Taxes lived with any
Person as a Yearly hired Servt. for the Space of
one Year or otherwise gained a Settlemt. in any
other Place to his Knowledge or beleife that
he has a Wife & being Poor & Old is not able
to maintaine her.
