The Examination of Ann Grear< no role > Widw . Aged Forty four Years
Lodging in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the County
of Middx Taken the 27th. Day of Augst. 1739 Who upon
her Oath saith yt. abt. Twenty Years ago her late Husband
Jams. Grear< no role > lived in & Rented a House in Blackmoor Street
in the sd. Parish of St. Clemt. Danes of the Yearly Rent
of £20 & lived in the same for the space of Three
Years & upwards And this Examint. further saith that
her said Husband in his life time nor she since his Death
never after Rented any other House Paid Parish Taxes
lived with any Person as a Yearly hired Servt. for the Space
of one Year or otherwise gained a Settlement in any other
place to her Knowledge or beleife & yt. she is now Poor
& not able to maintaine herselfe
