The Examination of Jno. Darby< no role > on the behalfe of Edward
Johnson
< no role > aged about 55 Years Lodging in the Parish of St.
Clement Danes in the County of Middx Taken the 11th. Day
of May 1739 Who upon his Oath saith that about Eleven
Years ago the above Named Edwd. Johnson< no role > Rented a House
in Swallow Street in the Parish of St. James in the Liberty
of Westmr . of the Yearly Rent of Eleven Pounds & lived in
the same for the Space of Five Years And this Examinant
further saith that the sd. Edwd. Johnson< no role > hath not since he
left the sd. House Rented any Lands or Tenemts. of the Yearly
Value of Ten Pounds lived with any Person as a Yearly hired
Servt. for the space of one Year or otherwise gained a Settlement
in any other Place to his knowledge or beleife & that he is
now Sick & Poor & not able to maintaine himselfe
