The Examination of Susanah Lashly< no role > Widw . Lodging in
the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the County of Middx
Taken the 23d. Day of April 1739 Who upon her Oath saith
that upwds. of Eight Years ago and after the Death of
her Husband George Lashly< no role > she was hired to & lived a
Yearly hired Servt . with one Mr. Newness Merchant in
Berry Street in the Parish of St. Katherine Creechurch
London for the Space of one Year & upwards at the
Yearly Wages of Five Pounds And this Examint. further
saith that she hath not since that time Rented any
House Paid Parish Taxes lived with any other Person
as a Yearly hired Servt. for the Space of one Year or
otherwise gained a Settlement in any other Place to
her Knowledge or beleife & that she is now Poor and
Infirm & not able to maintaine herself
