The Examination of Hanh. Stacey< no role > Singlewoman Lodging in the Parish
of St. Clement Danes in the County of Middx Taken the 26th. Day of
April 1739 Who upon her Oath saith That upwards of Ten Years ago
she was hired to & lived a Yearly hired Servt . with one Mrs. Lewen
who Keeps a China Shop in the Parish of St. Mary Le Strand in
the same County for the space of Nine Years & upwds. at the
Yearly Wages of Six Pounds. And this Examint. further saith
yt. she hath not since she left the sd. Place Rented any House
Paid Parish Taxes Lived with any other Person as a Yearly hired
Servt. for the space of one Year or otherwise gained a Settlemt.
in any other Place to her Knowledge or beleife & that she is now
Sick & Poor & not able to maintaine herself
