The Examination of Elizth. Davis< no role > Singlewoman aged about 45 Years Lodging
in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the County of Middx Taken
the 14th. Day of April 1739 Who upon her Oath saith that abt.
30 Years ago she was bound Apprentice to one Mrs. Mary
Gillingham< no role > Glover in Bartholomew Close in the Parish of
St. Bartholomew the Great London & Served her as an
Apprentice for the space of Seven Years And this Examint.
further saith that she hath not since she left her said
Mistress Rented any House Paid Parish Taxes lived with
any Person as a Yearly hired Servant for the space of
one Year or otherwise gained a Settlement in any other
Place to her Knowledge or beleife & that she is now poor
& not able to maintaine herselfe
