Mr. Trear Reported That he had Treated & Agreed with Mr.
Reighton [..] abt the old House in St: Thomas's now in Profession
of Lawder Blacksmith late in Lease (in al) to Rriscoa, and
the Corner House (adjoyning Wastwards to the sd other House)
which is now in Lease to Seary & Six years to come
therein at Lady day last at £2:4d: P Ann And that by
this Agreement Mr. Reighton is to build One or more
HouseDwellinghouse or Houses upon the Ground of the
sd Two Old Houses, AndThe Casethese Two Houses are
to be granted in the same Lease with the Old Houses
& Ground adjoyning to them Southwards, Lett to Mr
Reighton & al: the 4th: of May last To hold the House in
Lawders possession for Thirty four years from Lady day
last and the House in Lease to Seary for 28 yeares
from Lady day [..] in the years of our Lord 1709: at
which time Seary Lease expires, paying for the Set House in
Lease passtill Lady day 1709 only One pound
Sixteen Shilllings P ann And from Head time Four
Pounds P ann for the rem. of the Term, over and
above the Rent agreed to be Reserved for the Houses & Ground
Lett to him the sd 4th of May last,and the RentSo that
the while Rent to be Reserved on this Lease will be £6.16s
P ann till Lady day 1709 and from that time £9. P ann
And Mr. Trear also Reported that Mr. Reighton proposes
that four or five hundred Pounds or upwards, shall be
laid out in Building of the sd Dwelling house or Houses
upon the Ground now agreed to be Demised, and in other
Buildings & Improvements desired & intended to be
made upon theGroundother part of the Ground agreed
to be contained in the sd Lease, and upon the Ground
adjoyning formerly Lett by Lease to George Davison< no role > decd
at Ten Pounds P ann, which Lease is now Vested to
the sd Reigton & those concerned with him.
Whereupon this Comittee Approves of the sd Agreed
so as the Dwelling house or Houses to be New buill as afore
be of the Second Rate of Building, And they Report to
to Mr. Trear to Settle the Quantive of the sume to be lay
out in the Building & Improvemt a fresh.
And whereas Mr. Reighton desired that the sd Lease to be
Davison may be Surrendred And One Lease granted of
