It being the Intention of the Governor of this Hospital to
redurn the Land tax on their Landed Estates, I am ordered to acquaint
you therewith and to desire you will certify it to any Prisoner
Persons making Enquiries on the Subject respecting the Estate in
your Possession.

As Midsummer is just at hand when the Land tax Ramiss
tion is by the Bell thrower open to the Public, I am writing the
preceding Letter to all the Tenants of the Hospital. landed Estates
that pay their rents at the Comptg House, to enable them to
give an Answer & make the Matter generally known in them
Neighbourhood, in order to prevent officers & farm end Persons
entertaining Thoughts of applying for the Purchase, on the Sup
position or Ground that the Hospital by its Scheme or
Inactivity in the Matter has relinquished all Thoughts of
purchasingAnd the Treasurer desires that you well either
by this [..] or a [..] Note or verbally where you have Oppurtun
nity communicate this Resolution to all the Tenants that
are was your Superintendency.

I have then Day communicated well Sir Wm Rawlins< no role > the
Treasurer of the London Workhouse on the Subject of your
Letter of the 11th. Inst. and find there will not be a Court of the
Governors of that Charity till Thursday the 14th July & as it
is necessary that the person named as Trustee for the farm
at Ellesley in lieu of John Baker< no role > Esq . deced should be approved
of by both Charities I am apprehensive it will not be possible
for in to be prepared at so short a Notice. I shall therefore
request the favour of knowing when you check you will
