Clerk of St. Thos: Hospl .

Sir.
There's a Warrant for attending tomorrow on the
Glocestershire affair and as that has been transacted
in your name I should be glad to have your opinion
upon what I purpose to lay before the Master (and if
it might be) of your presence when it is debated, for
as you are justly tender of incurring the least discredit
and the Commee think it advisable to wave the purchase
if it may be done without any imputation to you or the
Hospital I would have my Judgment govern as little as

To Sr. J. Lade may be in the conduct.
Bart.

We don't attend on first Warrants so 't will be
friday before anything will be brought before the Master
& I shall endeavour to wait on you in the mean time as
you shall please to appoint & am Etc.

W. Matthew
