It appeared to your Committee by the Testimony of the said J [..]
Viel that he had been Convicted by the said Justice in the penalty dis [..]
by the Statute for each of the before mentioned Offences pursuant to [..]
Said Summons That the said Justice did not return any of the [..]
Convictions to the Office of the Clerk of the Peace to be filed of Record a [..]
the records of the Sessions of the Peace for this County except two and th [..]
not until near six Months after the time of Conviction and which sum to [..]
been returned only in consequence of an Action brought by the the said John [..]
against the said Cornelius Martin< no role > in the Court of Kings Bench on a A [..]
of the said Convictions immediately before the Trial of the same

It also appeared to Your Committee upon the Examination
Isaac Webb< no role > one of the Churchwardens of the parish of Saint Giles in the
fields in the said County of Middlesex in which parish the aforesaid
John Veal< no role > resideth and had committed the said Offences that there ha [..]
not been paid by or received from the said Justice on behalf of the poor
the said parish any Sum or Sums of Money for or in respect of the said
Convictions

It also appeared to your Committee upon the examination of
Isaac Webb< no role > one of the Churchwardens of the parish of St Giles that [..]
or about the 12th day of April last he was Convicted by and before Corn [..]
Martin
< no role > Esq in the penatly of five Shillings for exercising his Trade [..]
the Lords Day that thinking himself aggrieved and not paying the
Conviction Money his Goods were soon after distrained for the same
that conceiving himself greatly injured by this proceedure of the Jus [..]
he determined to obtain redress and in consequence thereof applyed [..]
the Clerk of the Peace for the County of Middlesex for a Copy of the [..]
Conviction and other proceedings in order to have advice upon the leg [..]
of the Justices Conduct in this respect but found that the said Justice have
not returned the said Conviction to the Clerk of the Peace or any other of
the proceedings theron nor could the said Isaac obtain copies thereof
whence he was prevented from seeking or procuring that redress wh [..]
the hardship of his Case and the Laws of his Country might otherwise
have Secured to him

It appeared also to your Committee by the respective
Examinations of the several persons hereunder mentioned upon Oa [..]
that they had severally been convicted by the said Cornelius Mart< no role > [..]
for exercising there Trade on the Lords Day but that the said Corn [..]
Martin the Justice aforesaid had compounded there several penalties
