10th. day of November One thousand Seven hundred and Seventy Seven
NB if You do not attend this Summons the Magistrate will issue
a Warrant for Contempt

and that Mr. Green not having obeyed the Summons he had been
arrested by virtue of the following Warrant Vizt.


Middlesex
City & Liberty
Westminster } to wit

To all Constables and other his Majesty's
Officers of the peace for the said County City and
Liberty whom these may Concern especially to
John Matthews< no role >

These are in his Majestys name to Command You and every of You
upon Sight hereof to take and bring before me one of his Majestys Justices of the
peace for the said County City and Liberty the Body of William Green< no role >
and the Driver of his dray No.2258 of whom you shall have notice to
answer to all such matters and things as on his Majestys behalf are on
Oath objected against them by Thomas Richards< no role > for unlawfully riding on
a Cart the property of the said William Green< no role > on the first day of this
Instant in the parish of Stepney not having any person on foot or
horseback or reins to guide the Horse and for contemptunously disobeying
Majestracy in not attending a legal Summons served on them to answer
the said Complaint agt the State Etc.-Hereof fail not at Your peril Given
under my hand and Seal this 18th. day of November in the Year of our
Lord 1777

I Acknowledge this to be a true Copy of the Original Warrant
As Witness my hand this 20th. day of November 1777
