on Oath objected against the Offender on a Strong Suspicion of
inveigling and enticeing away her Daughter the Complainant against
the Statute Etc

Middlesex and Westminster to wit Public Office Cambridge Street

To all Constables and Headborougsother his Majesty's Office [..]
of the peace for the said City and Liberty whom these may concern
These are in his Majesty's Name to command you and every of you
upon sight hereof to take and bring before us or some other of his Ma [..]
Justices of the Peace for the said City and Liberty the Body of Ma [..]
Snagg Wilks there having been lately Stolen sundry things and
wearing Apparel of which she is suspected you are therefore to sea [..]
every place and every person of whom you shall have Notice to
answer to all such matters and things as on his Majesty's behalf
are on Oath objected against them by Sarah Snagg< no role > Wilks on a strong
Suspicion of inveigling and enticeing away the said Maria< no role > her
Daughter against the Statute Etc Hereof fail not at your perill
Given under under our hands and Seals this tenth day & Ma [..]
in the year of our Lord 1777.

That they have also in their Custody ready to be produced the
following Summons under the hand and Seal of the said John G [..]
which they conceive to be illegal as they Know not of any power or
authority in the Law enabling a Justice of the Peace to issue Proc [..]
for the nonpayment of what he is pleased to call Fees of Office

Middlesex to wit Mr John Barry< no role > No 3 Dean Street

These are in his Majesty's Name to require you personally to be and
appear before me John Gretton< no role > Esqr one of his Majesty's Justices of the Pa [..]
for the said County Etc at my House in Margaret Street aforesaid on
Thursday next at one o' Clock in the afternoon then and there to shew
cause and answer the complaint of Robert Knighton< no role > for contempt in [..]
paying the fees of Office agt the Statute Etc Hereof fail not at your
peril Given under my Hand and Seal this 26th day of November
one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven

Gretton they having compared the signature thereto with other signature
