formed and laid before the Committee the following Clause Vizt
Provided always Nevertheless that nothing in this Ac [..]
contained shall extend or be construed to extend to invest these
Commissioners with Power or Authority to removed or interrupti [..]
their standing any Carts or Waggons laden wish Hay or Street
and standing with those Commodities for sale in the Highway [..]
or street called St. James's Haymarket on the accustomed [..]
Market Days in every week, So as such Carts stand within [..]
Limits prescribed by the Acts of Parliament now in force
respecting the said Highway or Street and the Hay and Stra [..]
Market there hold or the orders made or hereafter to be made
by the Justices of the Peace under the Authority of such Acts
which previous to its being laid before the Committee had been
subscribed to the Consideration of the Commissioners for paving
who having agreed that it should be inserted in the Bill directed
their Clerk to write the following Letter thereupon Vizt.

Mr. Eyles Deputy Clerk of the Peace for Middlesex

Sir

I am directed by the Commissioners for Paving Westminster Etc [..]
acquaint you that they agreed to the prove so this day laid before them
Mr. Wright relative to the Haymarket as it is to the same purport [..]
that Drawn by Mr. Salsbury Brereton and delivered to Mr. Bre [..]
with only a Transposition of some of the Words I am in the name of
the Commissioners

whereupon the Committee resolved that provided the Clause [..]
above mentioned was inserted in the Act of Parliament then
soliciting by the Commissioners for paving the Resolution of the
Committee for opposing the Bill should be rescinded and Mr. Eyles
was directed to attend the Committee of the House of Commons [..]
see to the insertion of the said Clause and at the same time [..]
Eyles was directed to obtain if he could the insertion of a Clause
the said Bill to compell the Water Companies to make good [..]
defects in the Pavement of the Haymarket occasioned by the [..]
and decay of their Pipes and also a Clause to prevent persons
belonging to St. James's Market laying in the night time in the
Haymarket any Entrails of animals Etc which is become a
practice and an intolerable Nusance Mr. Eyles in Consequence
of the directions of the Committee attended the Committee of [..]
