the Said matter be taken into consideration by his Majesty< no role > 's
Justices of the peace for this County at the next General
Quarter Session of the peace to be holden for the Same County
on the County day of the Same Session to the intent that
Such rates & prices may be then Settled & ascertained for the
purposes aforesaid by Order of General Quarter Session to be
in Such behalf made as they Shall think reasonable & just.

By Adjornmt. on Thursday the 10th. day of July 1740 -before

Order for appointing Mr.
John Higgs< no role > Receiver of the
Rents of the Estates belonging
to the County of Middx in the
Stead and place of Mr. Thos.
Wilkinson}

At the request of Mr. Thomas Wilkinson< no role > Receiver of the rents of the
Estates belonging to this County It is Ordered by this Court that the
Said Thomas Wilkinson< no role > be and he is hereby discharged from
being Receiver of the Rents of the Said Estates, And this Court doth
appoint Mr. John Higgs< no role > of Southampton Buildings in the
parish of St. Andrew Holborn in the County aforesaid being
Treasurer of the Same County to be Receiver of the Rents of the
Estates aforesaid in the Stead and place of the Said Thomas
Wilkinson, And doth hereby empower and authorize him the
Said John Higgs< no role > , from time to time to receive the Rents of the
Said Estates of and from the Tenants of the Same respectively, and
to give receipts for the Same under his hand for the use of the
Justices of the peace of this County, which receipts Shall from
time to time be Sufficient discharges to the Said Tenants for
their respective payments, And the moneys to be [..]
received by the Said Treasurer or account of the Rents aforesaid
are to be Subject to the Orders of the Court of General Quarter or
General Sessions of the peace for the Said County touching the
application and dispossall thereof.

Laws in execution agt.
forestalling regrating &
ingrossing Etc.

Whereas the Laws and Statutes of this Realm, all forestalling,
Regrating, and Ingrossing of Corn is prohibited, and it is by the
Act of the Fifth and Sixth of Edward the Sixth particularly
enacted, That when Corn or Grain is above the prices in the Said
Act for that purpose mentioned, whosoever Shall ingross or
get into his Hands by Buying, [..] Contracting, or
