proceed to appoint a high Constable of the said Divisions
in his Stead, And notice of the said Meeting at the said
Castle Tavern for the purpose aforesaid is to be given on
all the Justices of the peace of this County residing with
Holborn Division aforesaid.

Whereas by an Order made at the General Sessions of the pe [..]
holden for this County by adjornment on Thursday the twenty
Seventh day of August last It was Ordered that William
Cotesworth Esqr . then Treasurer of the moneys raised in the
County for the passing and releiving of Vagrants Show
forthwith (after his receiving from Richard Norwood< no role >
high Constable within the Hundred of Elthorne in this
County the moneys assessed for the purpose aforesaid upon
the respective parishes and places within his District) pay
unto Richard Matthews< no role > late Constable of Uxbridge in
the said County for the year one thousand Seven
hundred and twenty three, the Sume of five pounds &
Seven Shillings in Satisfaccon of the moneys allowed him
for his trouble & expences in passing & releiving of
Vagrants, And that the receipt of the said Richard
Matthews together with the said Order should be a
Sufficient discharge to the said Mr. Cotesworth for such
Payment, And whereas the said Richard Matthews< no role > hath
exhibited his humble peticon unto this Court Setting for [..]
that he hath often applyed to the said Mr. Cotesworth for
payment of the same who hath refused soe to doe
Mr. Norwood having not paid him the moneys in
his hands for that purpose, But that the said Mr.
Norwood informs the peticoner that he is ready to pay
the said moneys to the peticoner provided he is
Ordered by this Court soe to doe, It was therefore
prayed by the peticoner that this Court would make
an Order on Mr. Norwood for payment of the Same
accordingly or such other Order therein as to this Co [..]
should seem just and reasonable, This Court being
Satisfyed of the truth of the premisses Doth Order the
the said Richard Norwood< no role > doe out of the moneys
