The Information of James Pack< no role > of Queens Row in the
parish of St. Mathew Bethnal Green Lighterman taken on
oath this 15th. day of December 1788 Who saith this Evening
about the hour of Five as he was going home cross the field from Shadwell
to Mile End he was attacked near Mr. Crombies Garden Mile and Old Town
St. Dunstan Stepney by the person present who saith his name is James
Walton< no role > and another man not when That James Walton< no role > seized him by the
Collar whilst his companion [..] searched his pocket and took Seven half
pence Two farthings and a Clasp knife Value one pennyThat Walton
threatned him and took his Silk Handkerchief off his neck of the Value
of Six pence and ordered him to go away which he did and returnd
back for Assistance to take them a different way and near Ratcliff
Street he met with themheand seized both one with one hand the
other with the other the Companion got away and he brought the
said James Walton< no role > to the office for Examination
