The Information of Isaac Barnett< no role > of the Parish of Saint Paul
Shadwell Silversmith Taken this 24th. day of December, 1788 before
me One of his Majestys Justices of the peace in and for the said County.

Isaac Barnett< no role > on his oath saith This morning about the hour
of Eleven as he was in a Room behind his Shop he messed the
pea Jacket produced Value Fourteen Shillings that he instantly
run out of his house and saw the person present who saith his
name is Mathew Macdonald< no role > going from his house near with the said
Jacket that he called Stop thief and Macdonald did the same
and run away with it being close pursued he saw him drop it
pursued and took him

was his not having any Victuals since Yesterday morning that he
being born in America not having any friend here to help him his
distress was the cause of his doing it
