Green Man in Bond Street in Order to Raffle for a Watch Which
Informant gave Said Wesson in order to give to the Landlady
(but which he finds he did not do) when said Wesson went
out pretending to go to said Robertsons to get said Money
upon said Bill and after staying about a quarter of
an hour returned and said that he had good Success
that he had had Members enough to raffle for his Watch
and that Mr. Robertson would be in Town to Marrow this
day) when Said Bill would be paid and taken up That
after drinking together Said Wesson and this Informant came
home together to Noel Street where Said Weston gave this
Informant the Said Bill of Exchange telling him that the Same
would be paid this day, desiring him to go and receive the
same and pay himself, meaning One Guenias for the Lodging
of the Said Elizabeth Etches< no role > , and £3.7.0 for the Lodging of
Elizth. Doras< no role > , and nine Shillings but him by Informant
And further Saith that upon presenting the said Bill to Messrs:
Hatchetts upon whom the said Bill was drawn, it was
[..] discovered to be Forgery And the Said
Elizabeth Etches for herself Saith that she hath known
the said Wesson about twelve Months who is a Writer
to Mr. Hughes at the Cercus Saint Georges Fields and is the
Son of John Wesson< no role > a Currier in Castle Street Long Acre
That on Tuesday morning last said Wesson gave her said
Bill to lock in a Burean, the key of which he gave her and
at Night said Wesson asked her if she had got said Bill
