Who being upon Oath say and first the said John Frazer< no role >
saith
that Yesterday his Wife informed him that two Persons now Present who call themselves John Shepherd< no role >
and
William Kirby< no role >
came to his Shop under Pretence of buying some Silk
Handkerchiefsand that they looked at several but did not purchase any
and that on going away they said they would bring a Lady to look at
themthat they came again between 6 and 7 o Clock in the
Evening together with the Lady now present who calls herself
Ann Shepherd< no role >
and Sister to said John Shepherd< no role >
that on their
being in the Shop some time as her was informed (this Informant being
then up Stars) was called downthat when he came down he found
said William Kirby< no role >
and Ann Shepherd< no role >
in his Shop, and said
John Shepherd< no role >
standing at the Door with his great Coat under his
Armthat he repeatedly invited said John Shepherd< no role >
into the Shop
but that he did not come into the Shop at that time on any time
that Evening to this Informants Knowledge farther than the
Threshold of the Doorthat this Informant further saith that
he then had some Conversation with said Kirby relative to the sale
of some Silk Handkerchiefsthat said Kirby offered this Informant
30 Shillings for a piece containing 10 Handkerchiefs telling him
at the same that he meant to sell them again to his Friends and
Customers in the Country he being a Jobber in those Articles, and
this Informant further saith that on said Kirbys not being
willing to give mose than 30 Shillings he told him that he
