taken before me this 31st. day of May 1786
Who being upon upon Oath say, and first the
said Samuel Stretton< no role >
says that about four o Clock
this afternoon at the corner of Bridge Street
leading
to George Street
Westminster
he was pushed against
and hustled by several Personsthat at this
time he had in his right hand Breeches Pocket
about one Pound Fifteen Shillings in Money
that at the time of his being so pushed against
and hustled he felt a hand at his pocket which
he instantly caught hold of, and held for some
time, and is very sure [..] was the hand of
[..] aperson now present who calls
himself Nicholas Waters< no role >
that he then heard
an half Guinea drop from said Waters and
suspecting [..] he had been Robbed, [..] he
Searched his Pockets, and missed one Pound Sixteen
Shillings in Money and upwards i and further
saith, that he is very sure that said Nicholas
Waters< no role >
feloniously took the same from out
of this Informants pocketand the said
William Bowyer< no role >
says that about 4 o Clock this
day, as he was passing along Bridge Street

or three other pushing and hustling against
