before me this 1st. day of June 1786
Who being upon Oath says and first the said Charles Langston< no role >
says that on Sunday night or Monday Morning last a Number
of Hatches (used as a Floor) were feloniously taken out of a
Peter Boat lying at Anchor, off Somerset House
, belonging to
him, and Partners; and five of which said Hatches, be this
day found in a Boat at Somerset Stairs
, in which said
Boat, two Persons now present who call themselves

were; and whom he doth
verily believe feloniously stole the sameand the said
Thomas Sedgwick< no role >
says that he is Servant
to said Charles Langton< no role >
and Partnersthat on Monday Morning last he came on
boat their Peter Boat, when he found that the same had been
robbed of a Number of its Hatches; and further says,
that he is very sure, that the Hatches now produced, are
part thereof
