Informations of Witnesses Severally taken
and acknowledged on the behalf of our Sovereign Lord
the King, touching the Death of a New Born Female Child
at the Dwelling House of Mr. Theophilus Sawyer< no role > , Known
by the Sign of the Three Blue Posts the Corner of Edward
Street facing Broad Street in the Parish of Saint James
within the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex
on the 19th. day of August in the 24th, Year of the Reign
of our Sovereign Lord King George< no role > the Third. Before the
Thomas Prickard< no role > His Majesty's Coroner for the said
City and Liberty of Westminster , on an Inquisition then
and there taken on View of the Body of the said New
Born Female Child then and there lying Dead as follow
to wit.

Sarah Tomlinson< no role > Wife of William Tomlinson< no role > No. 8, Edward
Street
< no role > St. James's Westmr. Broker on her Oath saith, that yesterday about
ten o'Clock in the Morning, Mrs. Sawyer the Mistress of the three Blue
Posts Public House next door sent for her, to come to her House as she
thought the Maid was in Labour and she wanted the Deponent to ask
her if she was with Child, and Deponent came, and Mrs. Sawyer and
she went up stairs into the Maid's Room and saw her sitting on the
side of the Bed with her Clothes on and challenged her that she was in
Labour, she replied she was not, she was not with Child, and insisted
upon it several timesDeponent and Mrs. Sawyer then come down
Stairs again and told Mr. Sawyer the Keeper of the Public House,
he had better sent for the Parish Officers, as Deponent thought it
