Who being on Oath says that he has read and carefully
examined a Receipt now produced purporting to be the Receipt
of James Rooke< no role >
Lieut Colonel to Mrs. Gambold Purser< no role >
of
this Majesty's Ship the Superbe, for Provisions Goods Etc for
the Use of the Garrison at Gorse, and Dated the 10th.. of May
1779. That in or about the Month of March 1783, upon this
Informant's going to the Victualling Office
, he found a Letter
on his Desk addressed to this Informant, which Letter contained
the Receipt aforesaid and which Letter this Informant is
very sure was wrote by William Robertson< no role >
