Middlesex to wit


The Information of Robert Douglass< no role > of Whitechaple
Gentleman taken before me this 26th.. day of
April 1784.

Who on his Oath says that He was Clerk to William Robertson< no role >
now present from the 26th.. Day of June 1782 to the 20th.. Day of
August 1783: That from the Month of January 1783 to the
Month of May following as this Informant believes David
Mc. Cormick was also employed as a Clerk by the said Mr. Robertson
That on a Sunday in the Month of April 1783 as he believes
the said David Mc Cormick< no role > went to the House of the said William
Robertson
< no role > at Clapham and returned on the Wednesday following
to the Accompting House of said Mr. Robertson in the Victualling
Office . That on his Return this Informant asked said Mc. Cormick
what He had been doing at Clapham, to which Said Mc. Cormick
replied that ''He had been Forging Gambold's and other
Papers during the three Days he had Staid" That he
hath now Seen on Order purporting to be the Order of Sir Edwd.

of Provisions Etc for the use of the Garrison of Gorce, Dated
the 9th.. May 1774and a Receipt Indorsed thereon purporting
to be the Receipt of James Rook< no role > Leiut. Colonel to the
Said Mr. Gambeld for the said Provisions Etc, Dated the 10th. May
1779 as well as Certificate of R Simonton entitled
"Superbe Extra expence of Casks & Hoops between the 17th.
July 1778 & 2nd April 1780 and is very sure that the
said three Papers were wrote by the David Mc. Cormick
