THE Information of Edward, Reynolds< no role > Mariner a Lodger at John Clarkes< no role >
of new Gravel Lane in the Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell
in the said County
Taken this 26th. Day of September 1783 before me One
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County.

Who being upon Oath saith that going down New Gravel Lane aforesaid belive
the hours of two and three O Clock yesterday afternoon he
last the rim of one of his knee Buckles opposite the House of
Eleanor Farrell< no role > , the prisoner now her present. and that in
looking about for the same the said Eleanor Farrell< no role > and
one Sarah Hicks< no role > the other prisoner now here also present
came out of a house and asked him to go in weth them
that he accordingly went with them up Stairs into a Room
in which was a Bed, and when there they asked him to
treat them to which he consented, and pulled out the Money
he then had in his Pocket Consisting of One Guinea in Gold One
Shilling and One Sixpence in Silver and some half pence
and which Money they both saw. That he then gave
Farrell One shilling who went out and fetched some Brand
the other prisoner Nicks Sitting by him att the time said
Farrell was gone on the Bed side, That when Farrell returned
she asked Informant to drink which he refused, and after
the above two prisoners had handed each other a Glass the
Prisoner Farrell sat herself down on his left side. That at
that time he was Busy in discoursing with the other prisoner
Hicks but soon after feeling in his Trousers Pocket having
only one pocket which was on the left Side he Missed the
Guinea and A Sixpence, and therefore Saith that he has
Just reason to Suspect and does verily Suspect and believe
that the two prisoners above named did privately Steal
from his person the said Guinea and sixpence no other
person or persons whatever being present at the time
