THE Information of John Skillings< no role > a Lodger at Mrs. Nicholls's
No. 8 Upper Well Alley in the Parish of Saint John of Wapping
Manner
Taken this 13th. Day of September 1783 before me One
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County

Who being upon Oath saith that on Saturday night last about Ten O Clock
being then in the house of Mary Atwood< no role > of New Gravel
Lane Shadwell who left him in Care of the same while she
went to the next door. Informant being then in the
BackwardsRoom of the said House (Where also was one
Charloth Tucker< no role > a Prisoner now here present) walking Fore
and Agt the said Charlotte Tucker< no role > abused him very
Grossly, and resing from the Chair on which she was then
Sitting was making towards this Informant when he gave
her a Slight push from him Whereupon she immediately
called out Murder in Consequence of which John Newman< no role >
[..] other prisoner now here also present came from the
Fare Room of the said House where he then was unknown
to Informant Immediately threw him on the Bed stead with
great Violence and forcibly Kept him down while
the said Charlotte Tucker< no role > feloniously look out of his
Pocket One Silk Purse Containing Three Guineas his
property and which being done they was up Stairs
That Informant then gave Charge of them to Thomas
Cole
< no role > A Headborough of the Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell
aforesaid but has not Since received the said Property
or any Part thereof nor the Purse
