Bag now by him produced containing the aforesaid
Goods together with a Dimitty and a Linen Waistcoat & this White Jackets not
particularized by the said David Richardson< no role > is the
same bag that the said person (so apprehended by
him this Informant and the said Thomas Sayer< no role > ) Dropped
in Neptune Street as aforesaid as he this Informant
believes & That the said person is now present and
says his Name is Walter Batley< no role > .

This Informant Thomas Bengough< no role > for himself saith
that he and others having been to see the said Fire
and returning home up Virginia Street aforesaid
he saw a person with a Bag or Bundle passing
along and a Suspicion Arising that the said person
was a thief a Hue and Cry was raised and this
Informant coming up into Neptune Street afsd the said person
was Apprehended by the said Mr Hinde and Mr. Sayer when
he Dropped the said Bag orandBundle which
was left in the Care of him this Informant and
a Short time afterwards delivered into the Care
of Mr. Hinde and Mr. Sayer and he believes the
Bag now produced containing the aforesaid
Goods is the same Bag that he so had in Care
as aforesaid.
