The Information of Clare Eaton< no role > Servant to Sir
Edward Hales< no role > Bart. of Albomarle Street, Thomas
Ellis
< no role > of Albomarle Street Green Grocer and Thomas
Dalton
< no role > of Saint Martin in the Fields Patrole taken
before me this 29th. day of August 1783.

Who being on Oath say and first the said Clare Eaton says that
on Saturday night or Sunday morning last two Beds and two
Coverlids now produced together with three setts of Curtains and
a Looking Glass were feloniously stolen taken and carried
away in Sir Edward Hales< no role > House aforesaid. And the said Thomas
Ellis
< no role > says that as he was standing in Albemarle Street on Sunday
morning last a little past 5 o'Clock, he observed a Person new precent
who calls himself Joshua Harpur< no role > pass him with a Bed on his
back, in company with two other Men one of whom had also
a Bed on his back but the other Mad nothing. That this Informant
followed them and upon the Cry of Stop Thief being made the said
Joshua Harpur< no role > dropped the Bed new produced by this Informant
in charles Courts and ran away but was afterwards secured by the said Thomas
Dalton
< no role > . And the said Thomas Dalton< no role > says that he joined
in the pursuit at this time and stopped the said Joshua Harpur< no role >
in Hungerford Market .
