July 1781.
Who being on Oath say and first said John Frelkett< no role >
says that
a Quantity of Lace now produced is his property and was
ripped off from a Coat and stolen in his House on Saturday
last at which time a Person now present who calls himself
John Thompson< no role >
was his Journeyman and at work in his
house. And the said Mary Tweedy says that she bought
the Lace now produced of the said John Thompson< no role >
an Saturday
evening last for One pound five Shillings, who at that
time said that "He sold it for a Friend" And the said
Lydia Bishop says that she was present and saw the
said John Thompson< no role >
sell the said Lace
to the said
Mary Tweedy and heard him say that "the sold it for
a Friend"
