Who being on Oath say, and first said John Carruthers< no role >
says
that abt. 10 o Clock in the Night of the 17th.. day of May last he was robbed
near Bays water of a Metal Watch now produced together with two half Crowns, two half Guineas
and some other silver and half pence by two footpads who had the
Appearance of Grendier Soldiers in the Guards-The said Henry Reushaw< no role >
says that on the 19th.. day of may last the said Metal Watch now produced.
was offered to pawn at his Shop by Grenadier Soldier
whom he
suspected to have stolen the same and on said Soldiers attempting
to go out of his Shop to get away he followed him when said Soldier
knocked him down. And further says that he doth verily believes that
a person now present who calls himself Walter Bakewell< no role >
is the
said Soldier that offered said Watch to pledge with him as aforesaid
