The Information of
Samuel Welch< no role >
of the Queens
Head in Strand
Victualler
taken before me
this 3rd. day of May 1781.
Who being on Oath says that last night about 12 o'Clock he
went into the Turks Head Coffee house in the Strand
to enquire
after a Mr. Darlow; that not finding him there he fell
asleep being disguised with Liquor. That about One o'Clock
he was awaked by a Person now present who calls himself
Nathaniel Ford< no role >
who said that this Informant had better
have a Coach. That a Coach was accordingly called and
the said Nathaniel Ford< no role >
by force pulled this Informant
to the door. That when they were without the door the
said Nathaniel Ford< no role >
had hold of this Informant's left hand
when he felt him stoke his hand down this Informant's
Arm to the end of his fingers, and thereby drew a Gold
Ring off this Informants little finger and feloniously
stole the same. And further says that he was at this
Time perfectly sober, and is very sure that the said
Nathaniel Ford< no role >
stole his said King.
Sworn before me this
3rd. day of May 1781.}
