Hertfordshire to wit


John Kimpton< no role > Keeper of
the Lock of the Pricer Lea at Enfield in the
County of Middlesex upon his Oath sayth that
the Barge belonging to Mr. Thruckston of
Hertford came to his Lock in the Evening of
Tuesday the Twenty Fourth of April last-
from London in its way to Hertford Laden
with Thirty Quarters of what and fifteen
Chaldrons of Coals - that they lay at the said
Lock all that Night and went through-
early in the Morning - that one William-
Fordham
< no role > was Steersman of the said Barge
and there was also in it another Person belongt.
to the Barge of the Name of Joseph Cleaver< no role >
as this Examinant has been informed
and a Boy whose Name is not known of this
Deponent that the Barge of James
Usborne of Hertford Lay the same [..]
Night above his Lock and that one Henry
Aylin
< no role > was the Steersman thereof

his Oath says that early in the Morning of
the 25th. Day of April last He was the said
Henry Aylin< no role > Wm Fordhamand Joseph-
Cleaver take and carry away from the Barge
of the said Thomas Thruckston< no role > at Enfield Lock
aforesaid several Sacks which this Examt.
believes contained Coals and that the said
William Fordham< no role > assisted the said Henry
